The continuous screw press has long been used in many industries There are several advantage to its use:
• It is continuous, and the drying rate will vary according to the type of product, its speed of passage through the press and the pressure applied at the exit door.
• It can be used with many products, depending on how fibrous and liquid-filled is the material to be pressed or drained. This process is used to create value through juice extraction from the solid removed in the form of a dry cake and the liquid recovered separately from below in a tank.
• It can be used to compact the waste in order to reduce its volume or level of moisture.
